Frequency regulation and uninterrupted power supply
The system supports aFRR, mFRR, and FCR. With automatic switching between grid-tied and island mode, it ensures continuous, stable power even during outages, backed by insulation monitoring and 24-hour operation.

WHAT'S GOOD TO KNOW
Which battery cell manufacturer is used?
Exclusively CATL – the world’s largest battery manufacturer. It uses original CATL LFP 530 Ah cells with 10,000 cycles and a cycle warranty.
How many units can I connect into one system?
Up to 10 units can run in a single Master-Slave parallel connection, giving up to 4.4 MWh. Parallel connection is also possible across different models, such as the STAR H-MAX and STAR H-PLUS, so you can expand the system later without replacing existing equipment.
Is a concrete foundation required for installation?
Yes. The unit weighs 4500 kg and measures 1400 × 1450 × 2150 mm, so it requires an adequately load-bearing concrete slab with drainage. The footprint is just 2.03 m² per unit. IP55 protection allows outdoor installation without an additional enclosure.
Does the system also work during a grid outage?
Yes. The system automatically switches between grid-tied and island mode, providing uninterrupted power 24 hours a day. A single unit responds in under 200 ms, and the entire system responds in under 250 ms. It also supports grid services such as aFRR, mFRR, and FCR.
What maintenance does the system require?
Liquid cooling and AI temperature control run maintenance-free for up to 10 years. The temperature difference between CATL cells stays below 3 °C, preserving battery performance. Configuration is done via the app, with one-touch power-on and power-off (10 s / 30 s).
Which configuration should I choose, 0.5P or 0.25P?
The 0.5P configuration is designed for energy arbitrage – charging at low prices and discharging at high prices. The 0.25P configuration provides a 4-hour energy supply and is better suited for longer load coverage or backup power.
Is the system certified for Slovenia?
Yes. The STAR H-MAX is certified in 45 countries, including Slovenia, Austria, Germany, France, and the Czech Republic. It complies with the IEC 62619, IEC 63056, IEC 60730-1, IEC 62477-1, IEC 61000-6-2 and 6-4, and UN38.3 standards.
